The Edison Festival of Light is the longest-running event of its kind in the United States and honors Thomas Alva Edison and his service to the world and the community. The parade brings the entire southwestern Florida community together for a day of music, food, entertainment and fun in Fort Myers. Florida's largest youth parade showcases the talents of more than 1,000 young people from across the state of Florida.
The Manna Reading Center was founded five years ago and is currently working on a plan to hold the event once a month on Saturdays.
