Art galleries and antique shops include the Gallery Naïve, Matsumoto Gallery, the Edison Community College Fine Arts Gallery, Farrington’s Fine Art Gallery, and Fancy Flamingo Antiques. The Art League of Fort Myers and Lee County Alliance for the Arts also sponsor exhibits throughout the county in museums, performing arts centers, and museums.

Florida Repertory Theatre, Seminole Gulf Railway (murder mystery dinner train), Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Theatre, Cape Coral Community Theatre, and the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre are venues for year round Broadway style productions, plays and musical performances.

Among the popular annual events are the Cape Coral Festival of the Arts, Thomas Alva Edison Regional Science & Inventor's Fair, Artfest Fort Myers, Annual Winter Crafts Fair, Oktoberfest, and the Holiday Art Show.
