Southwest Florida has been my home now for 9 years. I miss Virginia where I lived for 19 years but sure can't beat the weather here!

When I'm not working or checking in on my elderly parent's care I enjoy the beach, swimming, fishing excursions, going out to hear some live music, festivals, occassional weekend getaways to the Keys or an island cruise.

If you were to ask my friends and family about me they would tell you I have a very positive, fun-loving personality, love to laugh and smile and am trusting and caring almost to a fault!

I lived in NYC for 8 years as a an environmental consultant/engineer and then as an interior designer. I love holidays and I think they are perfect times for couples to bond and strengthen what they have. I believe a relationship takes constant work to stay strong and healthy.

I've been here awhile and I think it's about time to actually fill this out, since I'm finally back in Southwest Florida, and now I don't know everyone I used to.
I consider myself friendly, intelligent, and open to new experiences, although I'm not naturally the flashiest person in the crowd. I take a while to open up at first, but I enjoy a good conversation, whether it's about something important, or about pointless fun.
I enjoy learning about most anything, and I especially love collecting useless information and facts. I have a good sense of humor, but it can be a little weird at times, and I can be kind of sarcastic.
I generally like honesty; if I make someone mad I'd prefer they let me know, as opposed to dropping hints or pretending there is no problem, and I try to do the same.
I have done a lot of traveling, and it's something I really enjoy, whether it's short trips or a vacation.

I am a pretty laid back guy in general, but know how to ''get up and go'' when the need arises. I am really close to my family and friends, and they are very important to me so whoever I date needs to know that. As far as hobbies or whatnot go, I am an avid softball player, and play a few nights a week and tournaments here and there. I also like watching as well as attending pro sports games (cubs, blackhawks, bears). I am a huge movie and music junkie... I listen to and watch just about everything, yes, seriously. (and yes, that includes country music and ''chick flicks'', haha)...

As far as dating goes... I am the kinda guy that will text/call ya just to let you know your on my mind... Get you little gifts, ''Just because"... I love nights out on the town, but laying on the couch, watching a movie, or in the dark just listening to music being with one another, can be a tad better..

At present, before bed I enjoy watching conferences on TED.com or FORA.tv. There really is nothing like an intriguing idea or topic just before abdicating ones awaken state. Really though, I love looking for videos on the future of civilization and where we might go as a species, good and bad. This is not to say I look for maniacal prophets claiming the world will end in some arbitrary year. Michio Kaku and Neil deGrasse Tyson are both great people to follow online. They publish some great stuff.

Some might say I am fickle with my pursuits. This may or may not be true. Though, I do find that lots of different things pique my interest. Really I do not see anything wrong with this. The experiences we have are what make us unique, and I am just trying to fit in as many as possible.

Either way, This is borderline rambling.

I am a Junior at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). I transferred here from the University of Alabama. If you really want to know why I transferred just ask. I like hanging out when it is way too hot to be outside but I really enjoy being outdoors. I enjoy sports and I have to say I am a big Univ. of Alabama fan. ROLL TIDE!!!! It's just in my blood. hahaha. well I am majoring in secondary education with a focus in Biology but I really want to go to Physical Therapy school so I am getting my pre-reqs done for that. I am looking for a guy that is fun to be around and can make me laugh.
